The Enhancement Contribution

Trinity School for Children has a very strong, aggressive curriculum taught in an experiential, hands-on way. We have been very successful because of the support of our Trinity community.

As a charter school, we are considered a “public school” but without equitable funding. We are on our own to supplement enhanceparethe funds we receive from the state. Therefore, as a charter school, we are obliged to lean on the personal commitments and generous support of our Trinity families. This is not much different from what is happening around the state to public schools in general. As frustrating as it is at times and with dollars short, we need to remind ourselves of the gift that the charter reform movement has given us; a chance to teach and learn in a very special way, and free from many bureaucratic restraints.

Our yearly Enhancement Contributions funds projects that fall outside our operating budget. These dollars have allowed us the opportunity to provide the latest in technology for our students. Besides the technological infrastructure necessary to support our programs, the contributions have helped us purchase computers in all classrooms, smart boards, mobile labs, kindles, iPods, digital cameras, and much more. The funds also provided us the ability to add materials to our Media Center, the Arts, and Staff Development projects.

We are suggesting a contribution of $500. yearly, per child, to help support these projects. With your help, we can continue the great opportunities for Trinity to remain on the cutting edge.
